In the present day, finches have different varieties scattered in many countries. Most of the finches live in Southern Hemisphere and these are the bird species that eats seeds, sings, can be raise as pets. The mostly popular finches as pets for bird lovers are Gouldian Finches, Zebra Finches, and Society Finches.

Gouldian Finches as Pets. These kinds of finches are mostly spotted in countries like South Africa, Holland, United Kingdom, United States, etc. These kinds of finches must be placed in huge cage and must ensure that the cage must be away from harmful environment like direct exposure to sunlight. These birds must be in the cage that measures 20 inches or bigger. Also, it is necessary to give them food that contain all nutrients for their growth and development. These type of finches would really love to consume spinach, romaine, fruits, vegetables, and even live insects. In addition, provide them with fresh water and make sure to change it every now and then.

Zebra Finches as Pets. It is very nice to watch these birds since they have colorful and wonderful characteristics. These birds really like to fly in upward direction that's why it is very important to place them in a huge cage where they can freely fly. The ideal measurement for their cages is 20-inches in height and 30-inches in width. These are species of birds that love to intermingle with other birds. Zebra finches are very much playful in the sense that several toys, bells, ladders, and swings are included in their aviaries and cages. It is very important to take note that the cages should be in calm and peaceful setting and should not be in a place where there is direct air conduction and sun rays.

Society Finches as Pets. These are great for birds' lovers out there. Most of the people are enjoying watching these Society Finches and consider them as an entertaining hobby. Their cage must be large enough for them to fly. Given the fact that these Society Finches are at high-risk of getting sick, you should make sure to clean their water and food containers always. The food dish where vegetables and fresh fruits are served must always be kept clean ensuring that the left over is taken out. Fresh and clean drinking water should as well be available all the time.
