Pregnancy is comparable to a crossword puzzle game. It affects the physical and emotional well-being of a woman. It is very difficult to know what are the positive signs of pregnancy. Signs and symptoms of pregnancy may consist of three different stages. What are the symptoms of pregnancy?

1. Presumptive. These are identical to the positive signs of pregnancy. However, these are not exact measurements to confirm that the woman is pregnant since there are lots of women may as well experienced these signs. Usually, presumptive signs may include:

•Amenorrhea - no menstrual cycle on the particular month.
•Nausea and Vomiting - these are primarily the signs involved in morning sickness due to several hormonal imbalances during the pregnancy period.
•Increased Urine Production - increase in the amount of urine output due to several changes in the hormonal levels.
•Exhaustion - the pregnant woman may use up much of its body energy because of the growth and development of the fetus in her womb.
•Skin, Breast, and Genital Alterations - these are mainly caused by several changes in the balance of the hormones. Most of the pregnant women may have flaky and dry skin; they also have engorged breasts.

2. Probable. This is not the conclusive of pregnancy but these are relatively close to the positive signs. But in a few cases these probable symptoms of pregnancy might lead to negative result due to some reasons. Sometimes, pregnancy tests does not have the exact results. Enlarged abdomen can be one of the probable pregnancy signs but there are a few medical conditions which are associated with the abdominal enlargement such as liver cirrhosis, presence of gall stones, uterine fibroids, H-mole, ovarian cyst, and etc.

3. Positive. These are the hundred percent sure signs and symptoms of pregnancy. Additionally, these are not affected by the signs mentioned earlier. Fetal heartbeat is one of the positive signs that the woman is really pregnant. Ultrasonography and Doppler are the instruments to detect that there is a presence of fetal heartbeat inside the womb of a woman.

Understanding the symptoms of pregnancy would help every pregnant woman to know how to manage with it. Nevertheless, a healthy diet, regular exercises and good hydration will help the pregnant woman minimizes the havoc of the symptoms on her body.
