The dawn of energy conservation has brought mankind to think of solutions that will help conserve this precious and depleting resource. Even if there is no sure-fire way of telling the rate of depletion, there is no better time but now if you wish to start focusing on the issue and doing your part.
Government research groups, companies and universities are now searching for ideal solutions to conserve energy. One of the solutions in order to help conserve energy is through green energy technology. There is always a new discovery or invention that comes up every year as the search for energy and environmental conservation methods continues. In order to check their feasibility, these untapped green energy technologies would undergo testing.
Green energy technology using sunlight has been around for decades. Solar panels have been around for decades and many establishments and homes are already benefiting from it. Other experiments are being done in order to harness and study the capacity of the sun's rays in providing efficient energy for the greater good. 2010 was the year of discovery for a few of the technologies that are said to enhance the conservation of energy as a whole.
Another old green energy technology is harnessing the power of the wind, and to this day it is still being studied and enhanced. Giant windmills are being utilized to generate renewable green energy that is powerful enough to support a number of homes and establishments. There are already many countries that see this as a probable alternative on a larger scale since most of them have put up windmills to support a few communities in the rural areas.
The capabilities of water extends to being a source of renewable energy via osmosis. Only a few countries have started using this green energy technology and the results are quite promising. This is another alternative which when done on a larger scale, can surely impact the environment in a positive way.
In an ideal setting, the conservation of fossil fuels will be more immediate if all of the green energy technology researches are approved and implemented as soon as possible. Since this is not yet happening across the globe, those technological breakthroughs can only be seen in action in countries where they have originated.
